Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise by music journalists and press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway by her, also gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement and bewildered by the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for a job or a hobby however, as a chance to develop. Thus, she began her own compositions. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as a love for Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote could be used to not be famous for her, but instead to inspire individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence on this world, she began performing them publicly. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Her sole passion is to compose music. For her music, it is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
